As a part of our sustainability strategy we recently launched a project to plant 100,000 trees by 2021 through the engagement of our team members and the communities within which we operate.
Through this initiative we aim to contribute to Sri Lanka’s effort of maintaining the status quo as a leading supplier of coconut products to the world and help the socio economic development.
Our theme “Anagathaya Wawamu”-(grow the future) symbolizes children and trees as the future of the planet. Our intention through this programme is to inculcate the good habit of planting trees and taking care of them among our children.
We also envisage improvement of livelihoods and a positive impact on the environment as coconut trees are a great source of CO2 sequestration.
